The Fourth Annual Food Safety and Nutrition Summit - Kuwait
AmCham Dubai was honored to participate in the 4th Food Safety and Nutrition Summit, held May 13–14 in Kuwait, and convened in close collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - State of Kuwait, Ministry of Health Kuwait, Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, the U.S. Mission Kuwait and the U.S. Department of Agriculture USDA.
Held under the patronage of senior officials and thought leaders, the summit addressed the region’s most pressing priorities in:
Food security and import policy, Regulatory harmonization and Codex Alimentarius principles, National nutrition strategies and public health innovation, AI, circular packaging, and sustainable food systems
Keynote speakers included:
- H.E. Dr. Ahmad Al Awadhi, Minister of Health, Kuwait
- H.E. Ambassador Karen Sasahara, U.S. Ambassador to Kuwait
- @Dr. Harrison Grafos, Regional Agricultural Attaché, USDA
AmCham Dubai’s Food & Beverage Regulatory Committee was proud to represent U.S. industry voices in high-level panels on food safety, nutrition policy, and regional regulatory alignment, with active participation from PepsiCo, Mondalez, Mars Wrigley and Kellanova
The summit reinforced the value of public-private collaboration to strengthen resilient food systems and advance the health and well-being of communities across the GCC.
