AMCHAM Dubai is a member of the global network of American Chambers of
Commerce, and has been established in the UAE for more than 34 years. It is the first bilateral trade organization in the UAE and operates under the local patronage of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Historically, you have known us the American Business Council of Dubai & the Northern Emirates(ABC Dubai).
AmCham Dubai promotes the US business interests of businesses and individuals in the UAE and across the region and works to strengthen the relationship between the U.S. and U.A.E. based on trade, investment, cooperation, and friendship.
AmCham Dubai actively advocates for US business with U.S. and U.A.E. government officials, on both a local and international level. We support bilateral trade and U.S. businesses’ commercial development, from initial entry into the market to current and future expansion. We enable members to access a vast network of professionals by organizing high-level events for the U.S. business community, in partnership with public and private sector leaders and stakeholders. Last but not least, we promote bilateral investment with roadshows alongside high-level Emirati public and private sector leaders and our Invest USA committee.
AmCham Dubai represents businesses ranging from Fortune 500s to SMEs, across all sectors of industry, as well as U.A.E. organizations with a U.S. business affiliation. Our network comprises over 3,000 corporate and individual members, government bodies, and other partner stakeholders.
You do not have to be a U.S. citizen to join AmCham Dubai, but if you are not a U.S. citizen it is necessary for your company to have an affiliation
to U.S. business.
You can apply for membership by clicking the Membership tab on this website and following the user-friendly instructions. You will be asked to fill out a form, submit a copy of your passport, visa and professional ID photo. For corporate members a trade license will be required. AmCham Dubai’s Board of Directors will review the information and grant or deny approval of your application within one month, based upon membership qualification criteria and overall merit.
You may view the AmCham Dubai membership directory online by clicking the Directory tab. A complimentary hardcopy is distributed exclusively to AmCham Dubai members each year. Members can also avail advertising space in the Directory to increase business & brand exposure.
AmCham Dubai offers something for everyone. There are six different corporate or individual membership categories with associated benefits and fees from which to choose: President’s Club, Vice President’s Club, Ambassador’s Club, Corporate, Small Business/Non-profit and Individual both for US citizens and Emirati’s. Our membership year runs from January thru December with membership prorated quarterly. For details, click the Membership tab.
Benefits span a broad range of services such as government advocacy, commercial support

AmCham Dubai offers a diverse and increasingly innovative range of knowledge-sharing and community-building events each year. The program includes but is not limited to:
- Industry-specific closed-door roundtable discussions with high-level U.S. and U.A.E. public officials
- US Consular section briefings
- Relationship-building events with Emirati stakeholders and friends
- Business breakfasts (luncheons/dinners), conferences and forums
- Kick-off events for public forums such as Arab Health, Cityscape, Dubai Airshow, for example as well as inter-council and other networking events
- Celebrations of national holidays or sports tournaments
- Issue-specific events such as the Women’s Leadership Forum, Engagement & Diversity
The number of events
vary from month-to-month, with an average of 4-5 events per month. These are generally held in and around Dubai, across a variety of venues.
Members are informed of events via email and anyone can consult our program calendar on this website for specific information. Registration is open for most but restricted for some events, depending upon availability – and can be processed through this website. Go to Events and follow the instructions to register.
A few of AmCham Dubai events are open to guests of members, subject to availability of space, but the priority for attendance is reserved for members. We encourage non-members to join the Council to meet and engage with the U.S. business community and learn more about how AmCham Dubai can facilitate and accelerate their business growth in the region.
The Board of Directors meets monthly to discuss all matters related to the successful accomplishment of the mission of the Council, to vote on the annual budget, discuss events, review and approve new member applications just to name a few of their responsibilities. Their engagement on behalf of the U.S. business community is voluntary and contributes to strengthening U.S.-U.A.E. trade relations.
